11 January 2010. The Queen’s Baton Relay arrived in the country over the weekend as it continues its worldwide travel to all Commonwealth countries.  70 countries will have the opportunity to witness the Baton which will travel over 190 000km.  

In the previous Commonwealth games in Melbourne Australia, South Africa finished in fifth place. South Africa is looking to improve on this position later this year in Doha, India.

The Baton will arrive in India on October 3 when the games begin in New Delhi.
